Why this page exists
Expiry and settlement rules are revised by SEBI and the exchanges from time to time. This page records significant content updates so you can see when a page last reflected a rule change.

- 18 July 2026: Reviewed against the two 2025 NSE circulars now in force. (1) Expiry weekday — NSE index and stock derivatives expire on Tuesday (Nifty weekly on Tuesday; all NSE monthly contracts on the last Tuesday) for contracts expiring on or after 1 September 2025, per NSE circular NSE/FAOP/68747 dated 25 June 2025; BSE derivatives (Sensex, Bankex) remain on Thursday. (2) Lot sizes revised effective end of day 28 October 2025 — Nifty 75→65, Bank Nifty 35→30, FinNifty 65→60, Nifty Midcap Select 140→120 (Nifty Next 50 unchanged at 25), per NSE circular NSE/FAOP/70616 dated 3 October 2025. Illustrative examples now use a 65-unit Nifty lot.
- 10 July 2026: Site launched. Content reflects the expiry conventions effective from September 2025 — all NSE derivatives (including Nifty) expiring on Tuesday, all BSE derivatives (including Sensex) expiring on Thursday, weekly expiry limited to Nifty on NSE and Sensex on BSE, and Bank Nifty/FinNifty on monthly-only expiry (last Tuesday).
